Drs. Maame Yaa Yiadom and Christian Rose participated as panelists at Emergency Medicine’s Western Regional Conference (WSAEM) 2022: Innovation and Inclusion, hosted by Stanford University Department of Emergency Medicine.

Drs. Maame Yaa Yiadom and Ian Brown’s  submitted a Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence proposal titled, Developing Artificial Physician Intelligence for the Early Detection of STEMI: Closing an Emergency Care Clinical Practice Gap. Their proposal has been chosen to participate in the final “lightning talk” round of the AIMI-HAI Partnership Grant review process on August 25, 2021.

Comparing the Timeliness of Treatment in Younger vs. Older Patients with ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Multi-Center Cohort Study was published in The Journal of Emergency Medicine.

Understanding timely STEMI treatment performance: A 3-year retrospective cohort study using diagnosis-to-balloon-time and care subintervals was published in Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians open.

Monica Saxena, MD, JD joins the HSR-DCC to explore the variation in hospital utilization amongst acute coronary syndrome and non-ACS patients.

Dr. Maame Yaa Yiadom was the visiting research scholar for Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency’s Senior Project Day on May 25, 2021. Dr. Yiadom also presented at the Illinois ACEP Spring Symposium May 27, 2021 on “Application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the ED.”
