Dr. Daniel Amponsah joins the HSR-DCC Lab as a Lab Cardiology Fellow. He will explore how accurately final hospital International Classification of Diseases (ICD) diagnoses reflect the final diagnostic outcome for the collective spectrum of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and targeted clinical subtype of ACS for this screening to treatment pathway.

Dr. Erin Ruiz joins the HSR-DCC Lab as a Lab Resident Trainee. She will explore ECG screening to decision and completion timeliness for ED patients to better understand ED arrival intake and aquiring early ECGs for STEMI screening.

Sean Bloos, MPH, MSII, Lead Research Intern in Dr. Yiadom’s lab, presented on The Influence of Time to Diagnosis to Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for Emergency Department ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Patients: Door-to-ECG Matters at the Dr. Paul K. Whelton 75th Birthday Symposium. Sean was also awarded 1st Place for his poster in the MD/Masters Student category.  

HSR-DCC Trainees, Rana Kabeer, MD and Gabrielle Bunney, MD, MBA, at the Stanford Department of Emergency Medicine ACEP Reception at Fang Restaurant in San Francisco, CA.

Rana Kabeer, MD, MPH joins the HSR-DCC as a Lab Resident Trainee. He will explore the opportunity to maximize equity in acute coronary syndrome screening for ED patients.

Lead Student Intern Sean Bloos, MPH starts his medical school journey at Tulane University School of Medicine this Fall 2021.
