Maya Yiadom and Gabrielle Bunney received the Byers Center for Biodesign’s Extension Fund Award to advance the development of their Biodesign Faculty Fellow project titled, “Smart Care – Heart Attack Screening AI.” They will receive additional reimbursement, intellectual property, and regulatory strategy coaching, along with a $10K award to develop an advance Prototype with the Biodesign for Digital Health team.

International Collaboration: Charité University, Berlin, Germany

Maya Yiadom launched an international collaboration with colleagues at Charité University in Berlin, Germany. The tran-continental team will validate Maya’s USA-based predictive model developed to reduced delays and disparities in STEMI care in Germany. Contributing participants include Ian Brown, Gabrielle Bunney, Rana Kabeer, Melissa Pasao, and Marium Rizvi along with Quantitative Sciences Unit collaborators, Kate Miller and Anna Graber-Naidich.
